I test a lot of cameras for my Etsy TheFilmCameraShop, and I need to keep track of which rolls of film come out of which bodies. Plus I want the lens information too. So I've devised this easy to use system with my iPad to record all of this data on the first frame of each roll.
I designed this basic template in Pages. I have one for each brand of camera that I test. This saves time entering information. The most important elements are the serial numbers for the camera and lens. But I include other goodies too.
The next step is to take a picture of the iPad screen with all of this info on it. This is usually the first frame or two, but anywhere on the roll is fine.
Then, when I get the film back from the lab, I know exactly how it was shot. This system works great, and I'm having no problem keeping track of my camera testing.
