Instant film sales are up, the movie industry is is falling love with Kodak again, and roll film struggles, but is surviving. That is the work from Greg Scoblete in his PDN article, The Surprising Fate of Film.
I think he presents a good analysis of the analog world in 2016. The tricky part will be predicting where it goes in 2017 and beyond. I'm placing my money on growth.
