I really like the color palette of this foxtails shot that I captured with an Yashica FX-3 Super 2000 and a 50mm lens. I used Fujifilm Superia X-Tra 400 that had been expired for a while. To my eye, the tones are very appealing.
The problem is, there is a stray seed in the lower third of the image that is just driving me crazy. I didn't see it when I captured the image, but now it's all my eyes can focus on.
What I'd like to do is open the scan in Photoshop and clone away the stray seed. But part of me is resisting that urge. To this point in The Film Project, I have not used the cloning tool for a single photo. If necessary, I've cropped, as I would have done in the analog days, but no clone stamp.
What do you think? Should I give in and fix this shot? Or should I stay away from cloning and the other pixel reorganization tools in Photoshop?
